1. Colin Firth

Our number one boy is none other than Mr. Darcy himself. Made famous by playing Mr. Darcy and then brought back to our lives by playing…Mr. Darcy again, Colin Firth is the definition of the British romantic. He’s loved because he just seems like the kind of man who would know how to treat someone right. And all his movies continue to prove that point.

Becoming a worldwide phenomenon when he emerged dripping wet from a lake in nothing but a white shirt, Colin is the reluctant sex symbol. He doesn’t see it and that makes him even sexier.

But age has only made Colin more debonair. In Bridget Jones’s Baby, we’re reminded of just how beautiful Colin Firth really is. And it’s also nice that Mark Darcy is incredibly romantic. It just ups the level of charm that Firth already naturally has.

He continues to surprise us with his work (going from romantic lead to Oscar winner within a year) and he breaks our hearts over and over again with how earnest he is in his performances. Colin Firth is the Englishman that we all wish we could have and whether it be because we think of him as Fitzwilliam Darcy or because he’s just that sexy, we love this man just as he is.
