As Bridget Jones’ Baby rolls into theaters, we are reminded that Mark Darcy is, quite literally, the guy every girl dreams of.

Throughout the years, it’s become clear that we love Colin Firth. Whether that be as Fitzwilliam Darcy or…Mark Fitzwilliam Darcy, we love his work. He came crashing onto our screens as Fitzwilliam Darcy in the PBS version of Pride and Prejudice and we’ve loved him ever since.

So with the new Bridget Jones’s arrival, we are reminded of his films and especially of our dreamboat, Mark Darcy. He comes crashing back into our lives and into our hearts with his socially awkward ways and we’re more than excited about it.

Going through all three films, here you’ll find a comprehensive list of all the reasons why Mark Darcy is the guy that we all dream of. Starting with Bridget Jones’s Diary and looking at Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason and Bridget Jones’s Baby, we’ll outline why Mark Darcy was always the best. From his dry sense of humor to his declarations of love, he’s quite the catch and we love that Bridget got him.
